US imposes sanctions on law firm, shipping agents and tankers over ties to Iran's 'shadow fleet'
The US Treasury announced sanctions against the law firm Karnakis and Karnakis (Panama and Greece), shipping agents in Singapore and the UAE, as well as seven Panama-flagged vessels for allegedly helping Iran evade sanctions and transport oil, petroleum products and steel. The measures were taken under the Economic Outcast operation launched in August.
