Macron complained to a journalist about boredom without Merkel and Draghi — the correspondence made it into a book
Le Figaro has published fragments of Emmanuel Macron's personal correspondence with journalist Françoise Degoa. In the autumn of 2024, at an EU summit, the French president wrote that he 'terribly misses' Angela Merkel and Mario Draghi. The correspondence will appear in Degoa's book, which is released on November 5; according to French media, Macron's permission for publication was not sought.
