Triptolide from a Chinese plant may enhance the action of anticancer drugs
Scientists at Johns Hopkins University have shown that the natural compound triptolide blocks the enzyme DCTPP1, which tumors use to resist treatment. In combination with decitabine, the substance increased the death of cancer cells in laboratory and animal experiments, but human trials still lie ahead.
