Tesla to wind down Cybertruck production in 2027: capacity to go to the Cybercab robotaxi
Elon Musk announced that Tesla will end production of the Cybertruck electric pickup in mid-2027, with the freed-up capacity at its Texas plant used to build the driverless Cybercab taxi. Pickup sales never came close to the promised 250,000 a year.
