Microsoft offered 60,000 employees to leave voluntarily with severance pay
Microsoft has offered voluntary severance packages to roughly 60,000 employees in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and India. Engineers and top executives are not included in the program; a decision must be made by December. Against the backdrop of major investments in AI infrastructure, the company is looking for ways to cut costs.
