Actress Darya Vdovik returned from Seoul to Moscow via Tashkent without an international passport
Russian actress Darya Vdovik, who lost her international passport in Seoul, was unable to fly home: airlines operating through Kazakhstan and China refused to carry her on a consular certificate for return. An Uzbek airline found the solution — the ticket was issued using the number of the lost passport, and before boarding the details were replaced with those of the certificate. At the Moscow airport, an additional border check was required.
