Meta faces class action lawsuit in Australia over alleged social media addiction in children
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Meta in the Federal Court of Australia, claiming that features of Facebook and Instagram caused addiction in children and teenagers. The suit is filed on behalf of eight claimants; Meta rejects the allegations. Separately, a court in New Mexico ordered the company to pay $25 billion.
