Chukotka has become Russia's leader in the size of pensions for non-working citizens
In September 2026, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug topped the ranking of Russian regions by the size of average pensions for non-working citizens, reaching 43,926 rubles. The Nenets Autonomous Okrug took second place with a figure of 40,115 rubles. The all-Russian average pension for non-working citizens amounted to 25,839 rubles, which is 18 thousand rubles less than in Chukotka. Meanwhile, working pensioners receive on average 24,057 rubles.
