In Fergana, on October 26, 2026, 51 children from three kindergartens (No. 2, 7 and 47) were hospitalized or received medical assistance with symptoms of food poisoning. 28 children are in the infectious diseases hospital in stable condition, and 23 were sent home. The Food Safety Committee is conducting an epidemiological investigation and laboratory tests of food products; the suppliers have already been identified. The final cause of the illness has not yet been confirmed.
