Appeal Upholds 13-Year Sentence of Novorossiysk Cook for High Treason
The Third Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction upheld the verdict against a 63-year-old resident of Novorossiysk convicted of passing information about Black Sea Fleet ships to Ukrainian intelligence services. The defense challenged the classification and the severity of the punishment but failed to obtain leniency.
