Uzbekistan's Central Bank proposes first Islamic finance standard — Murabaha
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has submitted for public discussion a draft resolution on adopting the first Islamic finance standard governing murabaha transactions. The document defines the markup procedure, installment terms, prohibitions on fees, and rules for handling penalties. The discussion will run until 1 November 2026.
