Nigerian court annuls Atiku's nomination as presidential candidate for the 2027 elections
Nigeria's Federal High Court has ruled unlawful the nomination of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, and also declared invalid the party leadership headed by David Mark. The decision came in a lawsuit filed by a former deputy chairman of the party and complicates the opposition's plans ahead of the January 16, 2027 elections.
