In England, playing loud music on buses will be fined £100
The government of England has given local authorities new powers to tackle antisocial behaviour on buses: fines of up to £100 for loud music, littering, vaping and threats. A nationwide campaign for rail passengers, 'share the carriage, not the noise', is also being launched. The campaign is backed by unions and Transport Focus, but the opposition and experts doubt enforcement.
