EU discusses measures to lower energy bills amid rising gas prices
At the EU Energy Council in Luxembourg on 29 October, ministers agreed to work on lowering electricity prices and taxes for the winter, strengthening networks and diversifying supplies. The gas price on TTF rose from €28 to almost €104 per MWh, while the Middle East crisis added, according to ACER's estimate, €18–33 billion to gas import costs.
