Tesla sales in the EU grew by 78.6% in September, BYD more than doubled registrations
According to ACEA, in September Tesla registered 45,866 cars in the EU (+78.6% year on year), while BYD registered 28,309 (+111.4%). However, over the first nine months BYD is ahead of Tesla: 206,002 versus 188,035 cars. The growth of both companies is partly explained by the low base of early 2025, when Tesla sales fell sharply.
