Elon Musk funneled more than $200 million into the US midterm elections, backing Republicans
According to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by the BBC, Elon Musk donated over $200 million in the quarter ending September 30, 2026, to help Republicans keep control of Congress. The bulk — $158 million — went to the Senate Leadership Fund, along with more than $80 million to America Pac and $10 million to Lone Star Liberty Pac. Particular attention is focused on Texas and the race between Ken Paxton and James Talarico.
