Uzbekistan approves roadmap for the 1050th anniversary of Abu Ali ibn Sina: research center in Bukhara, film “Husayn,” and translations of works
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated October 19, 2026 (No. 575) approves a plan of measures to study and popularize the scientific legacy of Abu Ali ibn Sina for the 1050th anniversary of his birth, which will be celebrated in 2030. It provides for the creation of a research center at the Bukhara State Medical Institute, digitization of foreign manuscripts, translation of works into Uzbek, filming of the movie “Husayn” about the scholar’s childhood, establishment of the international “Ibn Sina” prize, and a monument.
