Incident at the porch
In Texas, a couple was frightened when they saw a stranger at night on their porch wearing a rubber mask of former US President Joe Biden, eating a banana. This was reported by the New York Post. The man approached the door, flung open his jacket, showing a T-shirt with the word 'freedom' on the chest, then tapped on the camera twice, as if trying to ring the doorbell, took a bite of the banana and left.
Police response
The family handed the camera footage to the police. Police Chief Jim Lewis said that law enforcement found no evidence of a criminal offense. Officers combed the area but were unable to find the man. 'While this person's choice of attire and snack may have raised eyebrows, at this point neither appears to break the law,' Lewis commented.

Later, police learned that other residents had also reported similar encounters with the masked man on social media. Lewis added that the department takes such reports seriously and urged residents to report suspicious activity, 'even when the circumstances are a bit bananas.'
