Earlier, on the night of October 20, a woman died in a fire in a residential house in the village of Poselye in Buryatia, and her two children were taken to hospital. A neighbor was the first to notice the fire; he entered the house and handed the children through the window to his wife, but could not find the mother due to heavy smoke. Firefighters who arrived found the woman, who had died from poisoning by combustion products. Investigators have preliminarily established that the fire originated in a residential annex; specialists consider a short circuit in the electrical wiring one of the possible causes.
