Musk on working in the US government
Entrepreneur Elon Musk admitted that he got too carried away with working in US government circles and spent too much time there in vain. He said this in an interview with Walter Isaacson, published on the YouTube channel The Builders.
'One or two months would have been enough'
In Musk's opinion, one or two months in Washington would have been enough to gain the necessary experience. He explained that he was swept up by the opportunity to be present in the Oval Office during fateful decisions and to influence what was happening. The businessman admitted that he had originally intended to limit his involvement in the work of government structures, but in the end got too carried away by proximity to power.
Context: Starshield and the Ukrainian military
It was previously reported that Musk personally proposed to US President Donald Trump to limit the operating speed of the Starshield satellite system for the Ukrainian military. Trump agreed, after which the Pentagon imposed restrictions on connection speed for the terminals used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the night of October 14, Ukrainian military reported that the connection began to drop when moving faster than 160 km/h, which complicated the operation of drones and the conduct of a number of operations.
