Debut in Paris
The Paris Motor Show hosted the premiere of an all-new version of the compact Hyundai Bayon crossover. According to representatives of the South Korean brand, the model has been noticeably updated both visually and technically.
Radical Redesign
The main change is a radical redesign intended to make the car more noticeable on the road. It is based on the Art of Steel concept, familiar from the latest generation of the Tucson. It manifests itself in characteristic details: hockey-stick-shaped daytime running lights, a raised hood line, and massive wheel arch extensions. The model name is now applied in large letters to the tailgate beneath the Hyundai emblem. For the first time for the Bayon, an N Line trim is offered: 18-inch wheels, dual exhaust tips, and, in the cabin, trim with red stitching and metal pedals.
Dimensions and Equipment
Thanks to the exterior changes, the crossover looks visually larger than its predecessor. The sense of width is reinforced technically: the wheelbase has been increased by 20 mm — to 2600 mm. The options list includes two 12.3-inch screens, surround-view cameras, ventilated seats, and a panoramic roof. Also offered are the Digital Key 2 system (opening and starting the car from a smartphone) and a Bose audio system. At the same time, a block of traditional physical buttons has been retained on the console.
Technology and Launch Timing
The base engine for the Bayon is a four-cylinder 1.0-liter turbocharged T-GDI engine producing 89 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automated (robotized) gearbox. The updated model will be delivered to Hyundai dealers in Europe in early 2027.
