Kremlin statement

Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday that Russia continues to carry out retaliatory strikes aimed at reducing Ukraine's 'offensive potential,' the state agency TASS reports. According to him, 'systematic and massive' strikes in response to Ukrainian attacks are ongoing. 'Some latest signs of agony are visible. The Kyiv regime is resisting, but this cannot change the course of events,' Peskov told journalists.

Drone attacks on Russian facilities

The statement came after a 'massive' attack by Ukrainian drones on oil facilities and the Ozon logistics hub in St Petersburg, as well as a data center of the Russian social network VK in Leningrad region, according to Russian authorities. According to their data, the attacks killed one person and wounded nine in Russia. Russia's Defense Ministry said air defense destroyed 1,015 Ukrainian drones overnight over Russian territory, Crimea annexed in 2014, and the Black Sea.

Data from the Ukrainian side

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, for his part, accused Moscow of striking residential buildings across the country, which, he said, killed two people and wounded 12. He also reported strikes on substations in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa regions, leaving 'tens of thousands' of families without electricity.
