Attack on rescuers in Kamyshivakha

On the morning of November 8, Russian forces struck rescuers with an FPV drone as they were dealing with the aftermath of an airstrike in the village of Kamyshivakha, Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by the outlet Zamon.uz citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. According to the SES, no personnel were injured, but specialized rescue equipment was damaged.

Context: seventh day of operations and 55 dead

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that rescue operations in Kamyshivakha have been ongoing for a seventh day following the strike with aerial bombs. According to him, 55 people were killed in the attack, and people may still remain under the rubble. He called the attack on rescuers 'absolute cynicism and cruelty'. Thus, the strike on rescue equipment hit a site where the search for people under the rubble is still underway — meanwhile, according to the SES, no personnel were harmed.
