A birthday on stage for the military

Singer Marina Khlebnikova, who turned 61 on November 6, gave up a big birthday celebration in order to perform for Russian military personnel. She told Gazeta.Ru this through her manager Danila Price. According to him, on the day of her jubilee the artist is flying to the Russian Khmeimim air base in Syria to mark the date on stage.

A gift for listeners and a new album

“Right now we are flying to our military base in Khmeimim in Syria to perform for Russian military personnel, so that is how the birthday will be spent. However, Marina has prepared a gift for her listeners on this day. Today her new song 'Lyubimy' ('Beloved') was released, and she hopes her fans will really like it,” the publication quotes the manager as saying.

First album in 20 years

Khlebnikova, known for the songs 'Chashka kofiyu' ('A Cup of Coffee') and 'Solnyshko moye, vstavay!' ('My Little Sun, Get Up!'), continues to release new tracks and is preparing to present her first music album in 20 years. In a conversation with the publication she said that for a long time she had refused to release a compilation, considering it unprofitable, but changed her mind after starting to work with Yevgeny Grushevsky.

Health rumors

Media outlets periodically report on Khlebnikova's health problems, but both the singer and her manager deny them. In May, photos of the artist taken at a tuberculosis clinic appeared online, after which Price decided to appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.
