Third record in four days
On November 4, Gazprom set a new all-time high for daily gas deliveries to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline for the third time since the start of the month, the company's press service reported (based on Life.ru materials). The record streak began on November 1, when the maximum daily export volume along the pipeline was recorded; on November 3 the figure rose again, and on November 4 it was exceeded once more — meaning the new achievement was set just one day after the previous one.
What is known about the deliveries
Russian gas is supplied to the PRC under a long-term contract with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). However, Gazprom did not disclose the exact volumes pumped on the record-setting day, so the scale of the new maximum cannot be assessed in absolute terms from the press service's statement.
Context: Azerbaijan's interest
Separately, Life.ru previously reported that Azerbaijan intends to resume purchases of Russian gas from Gazprom. Elshad Nasirov, Vice President of the state oil company SOCAR, said at Russian Energy Week 2026 that Baku is interested in returning to importing Russian fuel and recalled that over the years of cooperation the companies have repeatedly swapped the roles of buyer and supplier. The specific volumes of future purchases and the timing of an agreement have not yet been disclosed — this concerns a stated intention, not a signed contract.
