Strike on a vessel near Odesa
Russia's Ministry of Defense reported that on the afternoon of October 30, its forces struck a cargo ship in the Black Sea 30 kilometers south of Odesa. According to the ministry, the vessel was carrying military cargo and dual-use goods for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and was underway, not moored in port. The attack, the ministry specified, was carried out using drones (the report is cited by Life.ru).
Second such incident in several days
This is not the first statement of this kind: on October 27, the Russian military had already reported hitting another cargo ship carrying cargo for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, also during its sea passage toward Odesa. According to the ministry, that attack was carried out as part of strikes on Ukrainian defense industry facilities, port infrastructure, and transport involved in military shipments. Russia's Ministry of Defense also stated that it would continue striking sea vessels used to supply the Ukrainian army.
