Rating confirmed at the highest level
SNS Ratings, an agency specializing in assessing the financial stability of companies and debt instruments, has confirmed the insurance company Özbekinvest at the highest level of the national rating scale — «(uz)AAA». This rating indicates a high ability of the company to meet its financial obligations in full and on time, including obligations to policyholders. This was reported by Kun.uz.
What influenced the assessment
Among the factors positively affecting the rating, the agency highlighted strong institutional support, a high level of capitalization and a broad scope of operations, high transparency of the company's work, as well as a decline in underwriting loss levels. The rating outlook assumes that Özbekinvest will maintain a high level of liquidity and capitalization; continued growth of insurance premiums is expected, mainly in the corporate segment, along with a further increase in net operating profitability.
Performance over five years
According to the agency, over the past five years the company's key indicators have grown significantly: gross insurance premiums increased 4.2-fold — from 385 billion to 1.6 trillion soums; insurance premiums collected in foreign markets (exports of insurance services) grew 4.3-fold, from 15 to 65 million dollars; the number of partner countries rose from 65 to 135. The volume of insurance coverage provided to national exporters also increased 1.9-fold (the value of this indicator is not given in full in the publication). The confirmation of the maximum rating against the backdrop of this growth means that, for the company's clients and partners, its previous creditworthiness assessment remains unchanged, with no downward revision.
