Wind made visible
Amsterdam studio Studio DRIFT, founded by the duo Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn, has presented the large-scale installation Aeolus at London's Ladbroke Hall. The work uses hundreds of glass rods and hidden light sources to make the invisible movement of wind visible.
The concept and the authors' words
According to Euronews, the studio's founders spoke about how the work captures the moment of the wind's movement, about the interconnection between nature and technology, and about the importance of reconnecting with the natural world through the physical experience of perceiving art.
A museum in Amsterdam
Studio DRIFT is also preparing to open an 8,000-square-metre museum in Amsterdam, which is expected to welcome visitors in early 2027.
