Senator's request over rapid filling of seats
Member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis K. Tursunov addressed a senatorial request to the director of the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications M. Karimov. The reason was objections voiced on social media: according to users, registration for exams to obtain a national certificate in some regions closes within a very short time, as the seats allocated for these regions fill up quickly.
Questions raised in the request
The senator requested clarification on the basis of which criteria exam seats are distributed across regions and subjects, as well as what technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure openness of information about available seats during the registration process. Questions were also raised about taking into account the number of potential applicants when determining seats and about the possibility of redistributing seats to regions with high demand — if seats in one region have filled up while others remain free in other regions. In addition, a reasoned explanation was requested regarding efforts to allocate additional seats, organize additional exams, and expand exam coverage.
Deadline for response
According to the procedure established by legislation, a response to a senatorial request must be given within ten days.
