How much a year of service costs
The minimum voluntary pension insurance contribution in 2026 is 71,525.52 rubles. With participation in the voluntary insurance system for a full year, this amount makes it possible to form a year of insurance service and about 1.09 pension points. Professor of the Department of Management, Marketing and Sales at RSSU Alexandra Sytnik told Gazeta.Ru about this.
Conditions for granting an insurance pension
According to Sytnik, reaching retirement age by itself does not guarantee the granting of an insurance pension — sufficient service and a number of individual pension coefficients are required. To grant an old-age insurance pension on general grounds, at least 15 years of service and 30 points are required. Voluntary contributions can help those who do not accrue the necessary rights through work, including the self-employed. At the same time, any missed years cannot be paid retroactively: in the year of joining voluntary insurance, the calculation period starts from the date of filing the application, and contributions are calculated taking into account the duration of participation.
Retirement age and payment amounts
The expert recalled that in 2026 the generally established retirement age is reached by women born in 1967 and men born in 1962 — at 59 and 64 respectively. The value of one pension point is 156.76 rubles, the fixed payment is 9,584.69 rubles. According to Sytnik's calculations, with 30 points, the calculation under the general formula gives 14,287.49 rubles per month before possible additional payments and increases.
