Debut at the Airshow in Egypt
The state corporation Rostech announced on its Telegram channel the new Dan-T strike drone, whose characteristics, according to the corporation, are close to the capabilities of cruise missiles. The vehicle was publicly shown for the first time at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt.
Characteristics and Operating Principle
The Dan-T is equipped with a small-sized jet engine, reaches a high cruising speed, and is capable of destroying targets at a range of several hundred kilometers. A stealth flight mode is provided for evading air defenses. After launch from its carrier, the drone flies to its target fully autonomously.
Rostech's Statements
The corporation stated: 'The line between a drone and a cruise missile is blurring as technology develops. In terms of its characteristics, the Dan-T is already a full-fledged cruise missile. The state corporation Rostech is successfully developing this direction, and there are several other similar projects.' According to Rostech, the UAV has completed a cycle of tests, and its effectiveness has been confirmed by hundreds of successful launches against enemy targets in the combat zone.
Context
