Three killed over the past day
Head of the LNR Leonid Pasechnik reported that over the past day three civilians were killed as a result of AFU attacks on the republic. According to him, in the Novoaidar municipal district a Ukrainian drone attacked a service vehicle of Luhanskgaz — a branch of the Chernomorneftegaz company. One of the employees was severely wounded and, despite the efforts of medics, died. Two more people, according to Pasechnik, were killed on a section of road between Kirovsk and Frunze, where a passenger car with men inside came under attack.
Strike on central Luhansk
According to the head of the region, a separate target of the night attack was central Luhansk. The building of the Luhansk Telephone Company sustained serious damage. At the moment of the strike, a duty shift of specialists was inside, and some employees managed to leave the premises. According to preliminary information, people may remain under the rubble; rescuers and emergency services are working at the scene.
Consequences and response of services
Over the past day, according to Pasechnik, residential buildings, trucks, utility and civilian facilities were also damaged in Krasny Luch, Lysychansk, Pervomaisk and several municipal districts of the republic. Investigators of the regional department of the Investigative Committee are documenting the consequences of the attacks. Pasechnik also stated that air defense forces and mobile fire groups destroyed about 50 aerial targets.
Previous incidents
Earlier, on the evening of October 20, a drone attacked a Rostov-on-Don — Stakhanov route bus near the village of Mikhaylovka on the Luhansk — Pervalsk road; four people were wounded and taken to hospitals. Several days earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on terrorism after a strike on a passenger minibus on the Novoaidar — Shchastye highway: the driver was killed then, ten more passengers were injured, three of them seriously.
