Leggeri's statement amid the riots
Member of the European Parliament from the National Rally, a member of the Patriots for Europe group, Fabrice Leggeri gave an interview to Euronews, commenting on the recent violence and protests in France. According to him, the country's integration policy has 'failed', as have the government's attempts to pursue a controlled migration policy. He called on the authorities to 'draw conclusions from this failure'.
Criticism of the government and Macron
Leggeri believes that the government and President Emmanuel Macron 'did not deal with this problem'. His words came after a weekend when protests accompanied by looting took place across France. To contain the violence, the government imposed temporary curfews.
