Robots and unmanned platforms in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukrainian troops are using robot dogs and unmanned platforms to deliver ammunition at the front. Hero of Russia Alexander Nakhodkin reported this in an interview with TASS. According to him, combat operations in Donbas have changed significantly compared to 2022: 'In 2014–2019, combat was fought rifle to rifle <...>. Now it is already a war of drones. The enemy applies technologies, and not its own, but specifically Western technologies, which is using Ukraine as a field for experiments.' Nakhodkin added that Russia is also applying advanced technologies during the SVO.
Robotization strategy in the Russian Armed Forces and expert assessment
Earlier, Ground Forces Commander-in-Chief Andrei Mordvichev informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the creation of a new strategy for using robotic systems in the Russian Armed Forces. Military expert Yuri Knutov noted the widespread introduction of such technologies. According to him, ground-based unmanned systems are developing rapidly: they are used for logistics tasks, evacuation of the wounded, and demining. The specialist added that cases of successful combat engagements involving exclusively unmanned vehicles have already been recorded.
Context
It was previously reported that instead of infantry and assault troops, armies of humanoid robots would come to Ukraine's aid.
