Resignation letter after searches

Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshny submitted a resignation letter after searches were conducted in his office. This is reported by the Ukrainian outlet Delo.ua citing sources. According to journalists, the letter was submitted 'of his own accord due to his health condition.' During the search, two mobile phones were seized from the NBU head.

NABU and SAP searches

On October 21, Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zhelezniak reported that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) came to Pyshny with searches — law enforcement officers inspected his office.

Criminal proceedings and their grounds

In early October, Zhelezniak stated that criminal proceedings had been opened against Pyshny over possible false testimony to the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the parliamentarian, the case is based on the testimony of former head of the Supervisory Board of Sense Bank Shevki Adjuner. He told TIC members that in 2023 Pyshny personally contributed to the appointment of businessman Vasyl Veselyi, whose name appears in the so-called 'Mindyich tapes,' to the position of 'specialist for relations with government bodies.' Pyshny denies his involvement in this process.
