Testimony in court

In a London court, a British woman described the details of the rape which, according to her, was committed by actor Russell Brand — the ex-husband of singer Katy Perry. Her words are reported by The Guardian.

Meeting in 2009

The woman said she met Brand in 2009. After his performance at a theater, the actor invited her and two other unfamiliar women for a drink, and then the artist's bodyguard invited all three backstage. According to the victim, in the dressing room she performed oral sex on Brand but refused intercourse. She claims that after this Brand had sex with the third girl, who was 19 years old.

Conversation after the dressing room

The British woman admitted that, upon leaving the dressing room, she felt terrible and disgusted. Brand asked why she had refused sex, and the woman explained that she had a boyfriend. In response, the actor, according to her, stated that no one belongs to anyone and that ownership of people was imposed by society.

Visit to the townhouse

After that evening, Brand began calling the woman and invited her to his London townhouse. During the visit, the actor asked her to wash and brush her teeth because her hair 'smelled strange.' At first the woman had sex with him voluntarily, but then, she claims, Brand forced her into an anal act.

'I could neither speak nor breathe'

'He did not warn me, did not ask permission. I don't know how much time passed from the moment it started to when I asked him to stop. I think not very much. It felt like I could neither speak nor breathe, it hurt so much,' the victim said. According to her, she begged Brand to stop — first quietly, then loudly, but the actor did not listen. After the incident, the artist asked the woman to leave.

Words after the incident

'I thought he would apologize. But he only said: Clean up the mess you made,' the British woman stated. She called the rape by Brand a traumatic event.
