According to AFP, Lazio trail the defending champions only on goal difference, and 19 points is the club's best start after seven matchdays in history: the previous record was 17 points by Sven-Göran Eriksson's team in the 1999/2000 season, which then won Lazio's second and, to date, last title.
Course of the match in Turin
Juventus thought they had opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Randal Kolo Muani scored from close range, but the goal was disallowed for offside. In the 37th minute Oliver Provstgaard (1.93 m tall, according to AFP) won the header from a corner and nodded in a delivery from captain Mattia Zaccagni. Seven minutes before the break, Nuno Tavares hit the crossbar. For Juventus, whose head coach Luciano Spalletti was suspended and could not be on the bench, Nic Woltemade came on as a substitute after the break and in the 55th minute, after a pass from Kolo Muani, shot just wide of the post. In the 66th minute Gustav Isaksen cut in from the left flank and curled the ball into the far bottom corner. In the 82nd, Kolo Muani missed another chance, heading over the crossbar, and in the 89th substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru broke into the box and finished the attack with a low shot — 3:0. Milan overcome Atalanta
Milan held on to beat visiting Atalanta 3:2 and finished the weekend in fourth place, four points behind the leader. The debut of 20-year-old Slovenian Rely Obich for Atalanta went badly: coming on in the 19th minute for the injured Sead Kolašinac, five minutes later he handled the ball in his own box after a shot from Yunus Musah, and Gonçalo Ramos, Milan's record signing, converted the penalty. Obich then let Adrien Rabiot's shot go between his legs — 2:0 before the break. In the 65th minute Thomas Christensen won a similar penalty for handball, but Marco Carnesecchi saved Ramos's shot; however, after the corner was worked, Mario Đila scored from close range. Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstović reduced the deficit, but Atalanta suffered their fourth defeat of the season. Rabiot, who received a yellow card shortly before the goal and grumbled at the referee, said: 'Usually we start with difficulty and play better in the second half. Today it was the opposite; we need to find balance, but these are three important points.' Milan coach Ruben Amorim noted: 'He is a very important player for us. At half-time we told him to be more careful, and since he is a very intelligent person, he handled the situation well.'
Como and Lecce
Como beat relegation-battling Fiorentina 3:1 and moved up to fifth place: in the first half Mattia Liberali and Nico Paz scored, before the break Marjan Pongračić reduced the gap, and in the second half Anastasios Douvikas sealed the final score. Fiorentina remained in the relegation zone with four points, while Como claimed their first win in four matches. Coach Cesc Fàbregas said: 'We played very cohesively. There are risks when you play in our style. There is no such thing as perfect tactics.' Earlier, Lecce beat Udinese 3:0 thanks to goals from Kialonda Gaspar, Konan N'Dri and Jamil Siebert.
