Strike on Kyiv and casualties

Kyiv was attacked with a ballistic missile on the evening of October 18, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko spoke about the consequences of the strike on his Telegram channel. According to him, a 21-year-old woman was killed in the attack.

Damage in city districts

According to preliminary data, in Kyiv's Desnianskyi district the strike hit a medical center building. In the Dniprovskyi district, an unfinished building was damaged, and in the Solomianskyi district the first floor of a 25-story residential building was affected.

Metro damage

One of the metro stations on the left bank of the Dnipro was also damaged. According to Klitschko, rails were torn apart on that section due to falling shrapnel.
