Two-day visit to Samarkand

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a visit to the Samarkand region on October 18, the press service of the head of state reported. The visit will last two days. During the trip, the president will review projects for the development of transport infrastructure and modern urban planning.

Meeting of the business council

On Monday, October 19, Mirziyoyev will take part in a meeting of the American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council.

Upcoming events in Samarkand

According to the press service, on October 19–20 Samarkand will host a meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries in the 'C5+1' format, and on October 21–22 — the World Summit dedicated to children's well-being. Participation of delegations and high-level guests from more than 100 countries around the world is expected.
