Criticism of Trump's deal
Member of the European Parliament Rihard Kols said in an interview with Euronews (Special Report) that US President Donald Trump's agreement to lift restrictions on imports of Russian diesel fuel sends a 'very bad signal' and is driven by dubious commercial motives.
Letter by more than 100 MEPs
Kols is among the more than 100 members of the European Parliament who, in a collective letter, call on the EU to maintain support for Ukraine and impose a full embargo on imports of Russian oil and gas into the bloc.
'Immoral' — on EU countries
According to Kols, EU member states that continue to import Russian energy resources are acting immorally and forfeiting the moral right to an appropriate stance.
