This concerns the production of energy storage control modules, components for wind turbines, and high-voltage equipment.

Current localization volumes

According to the head of state, the total value of local goods and services used in the sector in 2025 amounted to $740 million. In particular, 40% of the products used by China Energy in the construction of 8 battery complexes were produced in Uzbekistan; their value reached $200 million. The Agency for Industrial Cooperation and local associations have been tasked with determining the volume and quality of products needed by investors to ensure their supply.

A call for competitiveness

The President noted that with the implementation of energy projects, demand is growing for copper products, cables, transformers, metal structures, and construction materials. He called on local enterprises to increase their competitiveness in terms of price, as well as quality and standards.

Industrial zone for the needs of the nuclear power plant

Mirziyoyev also announced the creation of a special industrial zone in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region for the production of new goods needed in the construction of a nuclear power plant. Investors were invited to participate in the project, with tax and customs benefits promised.

Potential of international partnership

According to him, investments and advanced technologies, combined with internal capabilities, can increase their value. He characterized the economic meaning of the recently proposed O’Z idea as 'developing one's own potential, partnering with the world on equal terms, and taking responsibility for our common future.'
