Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met on October 16 with Peter Lee, chairman of the board of Henderson Land Group — one of the largest holdings of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China). She announced this on her social media page, Kun.uz reports.

According to Mirziyoyeva, the parties discussed promising joint projects in the field of renewable energy, development of New Tashkent infrastructure and education.

Statements on cooperation

“Our country is open to investment, and we are interested in cooperation with leading business circles of Hong Kong. We are ready to support partnership initiatives, including through the Tashkent International Financial Center being established,” Mirziyoyeva wrote. She also expressed confidence that there are great opportunities for developing long-term economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
