A discount for each child of an educator

If several of an educator's children are studying on a contract basis at a university, the 30% discount will be granted to each of them — provided that all of them meet the established requirements. This is stated in an explanation published by Kun.uz.

Who can receive the benefit

The discount applies only to students of state higher education institutions studying full-time. The benefit also applies to students studying on a partial grant, when 50% of the expenses are covered by a state grant and 50% by a contract: in this case, the 30% discount is applied only to the contract portion.

Educators at all types of institutions

It does not matter whether the parent works at a state or private educational organization. Children of educators at private universities, schools and kindergartens can also receive the discount on general grounds. Kindergarten teachers are also included among the recipients of the benefit.

How it is arranged

To receive the discount, an application must be submitted through the kontrakt.edu.uz platform. The application is reviewed within two working days. After the child's status as an educator's child is confirmed, the discount is applied automatically.

The scope of educators and exceptions

According to the explanation, the scope of educators is determined on the basis of the list of positions related to pedagogical activity, registered with the Ministry of Justice on 9 June 2026 under number 3849. The list contains 465 positions. Tutors and instructors at training centers are not included among the recipients of the benefit.

Who is not eligible for the discount

The discount does not apply to students of higher military and paramilitary educational institutions, students of non-state universities, foreign universities in Uzbekistan and their branches, nor to evening, distance and extramural forms of study. The benefit does not apply to additional and differentiated paid contracts and does not extend to joint educational programs and faculties with foreign partner universities. The discount is applied once per academic year and can be used again in subsequent years. If the parent ceases to belong to the category of educators, the provision of the discount is terminated from the following academic year.
