Discovery of the Laboratory

In the city of Gulistan, the activities of an underground laboratory engaged in the processing and sale of the potent substance pregabalin have been halted. This was reported following operational-search activities carried out by the State Security Service Department for Syrdarya Region together with the regional internal affairs department.

The Detainees and the Location of Operations

According to law enforcement agencies, three local citizens born in 2003 and 2005 were involved in the laboratory's activities. The laboratory was located in an apartment of one of the multi-story residential buildings.

Seized Substances and Equipment

During the operation, conducted with the participation of attesting witnesses, 5 kg 863 grams of pregabalin, 100,000 empty capsules, two electronic scales, medical gloves and other items were seized from the apartment. All of this was recorded as material evidence.

Criminal Case and Preventive Measure

A criminal case has been opened on this fact under paragraph 'b' of part 2 of Article 276¹ of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure in the form of detention in custody has been applied to the detainees. Investigative actions are currently underway.
