Ministry proposed digitalizing licensing in construction

The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services has submitted to the Government a draft resolution providing for the digitalization of the licensing process in the construction sector. This was announced at a briefing held at the Center for Media Content Training by the head of the ministry's information service, Saidnosir Usmanov.

Abolition of the requirement for dozens of documents

The draft provides for abolishing the obligation to attach numerous documents — up to 30–40 — to the application when obtaining a license or upgrading its category for design and survey, construction and contracting, and private expert activities. The necessary information is proposed to be automatically retrieved from the relevant information systems through interagency integration. According to Usmanov, this is aimed at reducing excessive paperwork and limiting the human factor.

Timeframes will be reduced from months to days

If the new procedure is implemented, a process that previously took up to 2–3 months could be completed online within 2–3 days. The draft also provides for reducing application review times by 50–60 percent.

Additional opportunities

In addition, it is planned to create the ability to publish information about job seekers for organizations looking for specialists who meet licensing requirements.
