Cameras on Fargona yuli
Cameras have been installed on Fargona yuli street in Tashkent to monitor traffic along the dedicated 'A' bus lanes. According to the Road Traffic Management Center, the cameras cover a section 6 km long in both directions. The announcement was made as part of work on developing the capital's transport infrastructure.
Expansion to other streets
The Road Traffic Management Center noted that cameras for monitoring dedicated lanes are being installed in stages on other streets of the capital as well. According to the agency, the special lanes are intended to allow buses to run on schedule without getting stuck in traffic jams and to deliver passengers on time.
Why it is important not to occupy the lane
The Center explained that a single bus can carry more than 50 passengers at a time. When a car enters a dedicated lane and obstructs the movement of a bus, it delays not just one vehicle but dozens of people hurrying to work, study, or home. If several buses are delayed, even more passengers experience inconvenience.
Rules and liability
Traffic on 'A' lanes is prohibited from 06:00 to 23:00 for vehicles that do not have the corresponding right. For driving in a dedicated lane in violation of the rules, a fine of one base calculation value is provided, and for a repeat violation within a year — three BRVs. Liability was established in 2025 by Article 128⁷ of the Code of Administrative Liability.
