Uzbekistan plans to raise heating and hot water supply tariffs for the population from November 1, 2026. This is provided for in a draft government resolution published for public discussion by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. The document provides for the approval of new tariffs for heat supply enterprises across the country, including Karakalpakstan and all regions. Tariffs for legal entities will have to be approved by the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers within three days after the resolution is adopted.

Rationale for the increase

The explanatory part of the draft notes that a presidential resolution of March 11, 2025 (according to Kun.uz — resolution No. 100) provides for the gradual alignment of reduced heating supply tariffs for the population with the cost price of services by 2030. Also taken into account is the increase in prices for fuel and energy resources, which came into force on June 1, 2026.
