Attack on an empty bus

A service bus of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was attacked by a drone on the evening of October 20. According to plant representatives, the vehicle was damaged and there were no casualties. At the moment of the strike, the bus had already delivered employees to the city and was returning back; there were no passengers on board — this made it possible to avoid casualties.

Data on personnel losses

The ZNPP stressed that such attacks pose a constant threat to personnel, who are in danger not only at the workplace but also on the way to and from work. According to plant representatives, since the intensification of attacks in April 2026, ten nuclear industry employees have been killed and about 40 more people wounded. Despite the threat, personnel continue to ensure the safety of the facility, but the plant's leadership noted that the workers' ability to maintain safety after strikes does not lessen the severity of such incidents.
