Fine for breaching supply contracts

Uzbekistan's Competition Committee fined the company Akhangarancement for failing to fulfill cement supply contracts, the department's press service reported. The Tashkent regional department of the oversight body reviewed complaints from the firms Sarkor-Ishonch-777 and East, which in November-December 2025 concluded contracts with the construction materials producer for cement delivery within pre-agreed deadlines.

Identified violations

The inspection revealed that the company failed to ship the goods within the specified period and also did not properly fulfill its contractual obligations following exchange trades. Akhangarancement's actions were recognized as a violation of Article 29 of the law 'On Competition', which prohibits actions that restrict or may potentially restrict competition during trades.

Decision and appeal

The company was also ordered to eliminate the violations and to prevent similar situations in the future.
