The key facts

  • Placing advertising on company vehicles is moving to a notification procedure via EPIGU.
  • The advertising place passport will be issued automatically and free of charge instead of a 396,000-soums fee.
  • The passport is annulled for false information in the application; online voluntary renunciation is possible.

Amendments to advertising regulation

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, by a resolution of 13 October 2026, introduced amendments to the regulation of the advertising sphere. As reported by Spot.uz, the document took into account proposals from the Competition Committee aimed at easing conditions in favor of business.

Notification procedure for vehicles

The procedure for placing advertising information on vehicles owned by legal entities by right of ownership or on other grounds is being simplified. Companies will be able to apply stickers with trademarks, messages about the type of activity, and the goods and services provided under a notification procedure. To do this, an application must be submitted on the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (EPIGU); it will be considered received by the regional authorities — the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional khokimiyats, or the Digital Development Department of Tashkent — from the moment of submission.

Free advertising place passport

The advertising place passport for corporate vehicles will be issued automatically and free of charge. Previously, the fee for reviewing an application was 90% of the BRV, i.e., 396,000 soums.

Annulment and voluntary renunciation

If the application specifies trademarks that do not belong to the applicant company, or other false information, the advertising place passport issued on its basis will be automatically annulled, and the applicant will receive a notification. Voluntary online renunciation of the advertising place passport is also allowed: the corresponding application submitted via EPIGU will be automatically sent to the tax authorities.

Context: inspections in Tashkent

In October 2025, the Competition Committee, the Tashkent khokimiyat, and the Road Traffic Safety Directorate of the capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs began inspecting vehicles with advertising banners for registration. Over three weeks, 470 vehicles were inspected, of which 390 did not have an advertising place passport. According to the capital's authorities, during the same period about 1,200 applications for advertising passports were received via EPIGU, and the khokimiyat promised to carry out control measures on a permanent basis.
